This game was originally my entry for Scream Jam 2023. This is now a beta test for a Steam release. It may need a few last features. Please feel free to comment. I hope you enjoy it!
First person, single life experience in a scary mansion. Discover the fate of your brother Tim while searching for the Book of Good.
Armed with only a flashlight you must avoid ghosts and demons while solving the mystery of the book. Keep your eyes and ears open at all times!
Controls:
Move = WASD
Interact = E
Flashlight = F

Install instructions
Unzip the file and when completed use the Book of Good executable.

The newest file is a release candidate version for free over the next week. If you would like to try it out I welcome any comments. It is intended to be a short, single life experience.
The current file is an update of the game after the Scream Jam 2023 was completed. Bugs were fixed and many enhancements have been added. This file is intended to be a beta test for a first release on Steam in the near future. I hope you will try it and comment on the current build.
The game looks great, and it's an interesting idea. However it's incredibly buggy; models don't seem to always load very well, things pop into or just move suddenly (which would be fine but our focus isn't on it when it happens). Movement feels very drunken - and it's just quite buggy. I think with some bug fixing and better timing on the audio pieces, it could be great. Definitely looks great. Linked at the time I played.

I wanted to thank you for the comments in the video about my game "The Book of Good". I'm still a little new to doing game jams and seeing how you played and what things got in the way of your experience was great for me to see. I'm going to work on those things for the next release. Thanks again.
