Release Your Inner Child! - Jam Entry

This is my Game Jam submission.  It is 3 levels plus a tutorial level.  It is a retro style 2.5D platformer.  

The player is attached to his inner child that can come out to help when needed.  Both player and inner child are looking for the scientist mother they are attached to.

There is shooting, a jump jet, gliding with jets, and avoiding bad things.  Have fun!

The key controls are below.  There are slightly different controls for the big player character (Teen Bot), and the smaller player character (Inner Child).

M: In game Menu

Teen Bot

Abilities: Jump, Double Jump, Jump Jet, Shoooting.

Weakness: To big for some spaces.  Slower than Inner Child.  Can't teleport.

A, D: Directional movement

Q: Draw and Holster Gun

E: Switch to Inner Child

W: Use Ladders and other special traversal items (may only have Ladders for Demo).  Ladders can be grabbed in air. Doors that face forward teleport with "W".

S: Drop down through special platforms

Space: Jump and Double Jump.

In Air Space Bar Hold: Controlled slow decent for collecting in air pickups and avoiding ground traps.

Control:  While on ground fires jump jet

Shift: Drop off ladder and other traversal items.

Inner Child

Abilities: Low Jump, Low Double Jump, Very Fast Runner, Can teleport back to Teen Bot (for an energy price).

Weakness: To small for big jumps.  Can't shoot.  No Jump Jet.

A, D: Directional movement

Q: Teleport with energy drain

E: Switch to Teen Bot

W: Use Ladders and other special traversal items (may only have Ladders for Demo).  Ladders can be grabbed in air.  Doors that face forward teleport with "W".

S: Drop down through special platforms

Space: Jump and Double Jump.

In Air Space Bar Hold: Nothing.

Control:  Nothing
